The developer who eventually built the properties behind No 51 needed access to that land and offered to buy No 5l,  a (1930s) bungalow; this offer was refused but an agreement was reached whereby the owner was paid to go into rented property whilst the developer demolished  No 51 and built a new dormer bungalow in brick on the same plot but further to one side so as to allow a driveway to the land behind.

The same developer later bought the dormer bungalow, demolishing it in 2015 and replacing it with a house, then named “Copsewood”
