Royal Observer Corp Nuclear Monitoring Post, located to the south of Newton Road.
The Bunker was part of the monitoring arrangements of nuclear fall-out during the Cold War (1955 – 1991; this post was closed down in 1968 during a major re-construction and re-organisation of the ROC.
