This path was shown on the 1885 OS map and goes across pasture fields from Button End to The Footpath off Church Street. In Helen Greene’s 1837 book she refers to a Nightingale or Mayday Fair that still existed in 1867 and used to be held ‘in these Jesus College fields where the right of way leads from church St to Button End’.

On Cambridgeshire County Council Rights of Way map it is footpath 116/3 length 0.329 km called The Footpath.
