Donkey Lane is a Byway (no 6) off London Road, before the railway bridge is reached. It continues on into The Lane in Hauxton, which is surfaced. Only the first 450 metres are in Harston parish. A clear view of St Margaret’s mount to the south-east can be seen.

On the 1799 Inclosure map this path is labelled ‘Private Road No 5 Harston Boundary Road’
