Originally rented out by the Council, most if not all are now privately owned following the ‘Right to Buy’ initiative. Externally they still look as their original design today. They were spacious and had long gardens (see above), enabling occupants to grow their own food. The long gardens originally were part of a pasture known as Camping Close.
