This road runs from the junction with London Road at the northern end of the village to the War Memorial Green at the southern end of the village, forming part of the A10 which runs from Royston to Cambridge..
In spite of it appearing to be the centre of the village now in 2015, this was not the case in the very early days when the village was concentrated around Church Street.
