Frederick was born at Harston in April 1899, the third son of Harry & Alice. The family lived in the High Street with other siblings Harry, Jack, Valentine, Leslie and Violet. He joined the 11th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers. Valentine served with the Suffolk Regiment and survived.
He was killed on 25 June 1918 when the Germans launched their Spring offensive
He is buried at the Warloy-Baillon Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France. Grave VIII G 5
