Paintings of Lockdown emotions

Delvin Udaiyan & his dad Darren

Delvin has contributed the above three paintings of Harston buildings to the ‘looking out of lockdown’ exhibition held 3-11 October. He explained them:

The creatures in the paintings are the covideous as we don’t know what they look like, but they maybe everywhere. The paintings are sad as that is like the lockdown.

The sky is not fireworks but emotion and is supposed to look like paintings my dad is doing on Cambridge for a client. I am the boy with the paintbrush in this painting he did: http://udaiyan.com/client/kingstreet.jpg

The boy with the striped cap is jonty jones – based on Jonathan Jones the art critic who doesn’t like my dad’s paintings.

The sun represents Surya as a form of Saura.

My dad helped me do the paintings; he is teaching and supervising me, so it is mainly him.

My project over the next year is to do more paintings of Harston.
