The history of 2 Hurrell’s Row continues as below:

In a conveyance of 27.06.1933 William George Jude, Quarry Farm, Haslingfield, builder sold to Harry Albert Nash, 50 Chesterton Road, Cambridge, cycle agent,  all the12 freehold cottages ‘sited in Church Street known as Hurrells Row’ together with the outbuildings for  £655

On 11.02.1955 Nash, now of Therfield, High Garrett, Braintree , sold to Maureen Alicia Lawless, wife of Frank Brewster Lawless, licensed victualler, 15 High Street, Royston the remaining 10 freehold cottages (Nos 1 –  5, 8 – 12 ) with outbuildings, yards, gardens and appurtenances  for £650. See map below. Nos 6 & 7 were sold in 1954.

On 06.06.1957 Mrs Lawless sold to Lees (Shelford) Ltd nine cottages (Nos 1 – 5, 8, 10 – 12) for £500. No 9 having been sold in 1955.

On 07.11.1967 planning approval was given to Lees (Shelford) Ltd to improve, install fittings and connect to main sewer for Nos 2, 3, 5, 7 and 11.

On 06.08.1969 Lees sold No 2 to Michael John Ball, 9 Chapmans Close, Melbourn & Fay Poulton, 19 Marlowe Sq, Mitcham for £2550. They sold the cottage on 30.06.1971 to Michael Dunsmore Simpson, 25 Belvoir, Cambridge for £3450. See map below.

On 02.12.1977 Simpson sold to Hendrick Riethoff & Catherine Patricia Newsome of Rhee House, Harston, for £9650. They sold on 17.06.1981 to Jonathan David Crow, Beech Farm, Harston & Carol Ann Baker, 5 Almond Grove, Bar Hill for £21000. The Crows sold on 21.06.1983 to John Clifford Murray, 6 Mulberry Close, Cambridge  for £25000.

On 31.08.1984 Murray sold the cottage to Simone Syn Man Wu, 50 Ridgeway, Eynesbury for £27250. She sold on 09.05.1985 to  Russell Austin Phillippo, 1 Church Street for £29750.
